I am completely obsessed with wormholes right now. Weird, yes. However, the subject is soooooo intriguing, I became obsessed after watching a History Channel Special.
Last night. when Adam and I were laying in bed about to fall asleep, I said "Do you know what a worm hole is?" . LOL. and then randomly spaced about 7 minutes apart so that he couldn't fall asleep I piped up with all these random facts about wormholes. Anyway, you should check it out it's really quite interesting:

Today is my birthday!!

These are kind of older pictures, but since we don't have our camera cord, we can't upload any to the computer. Dang. Anyway, today is my birthday!! I LOVE my birthday, so that's why I'm blogging about it. Most people think that's tacky and it probably is, but dang it, this is my blog and I can talk about myself if I want to!!
For my birthday Adam signed me up for a 5K up Provo Canyon that I ran yesterday. It was really fun. Today is Sunday so we're not doing much, but I love that it's my birthday anyway. I am 28 today. Seems so mature... hmmm. I am actually really excited to turn 30. I know that sounds weird, but I think my 30's will be amazing for some reason, and I'm totally stoked. I'll have more kids, I'll feel more like a "real mom", we'll probably be "living" somewhere, maybe we'll get a dog (something I've looked forward to my whole life), I think it'll be great. anyway, peace out.

Satisfied.
Isn't that one of the best words of the english language?? I finally am totally feeling satisfied with my stay-at-home-momness. I have to admit that the transition was a lot harder than I thought it would be. I have spent my whole life (well, just about) preparing to be a mom and when I became one, it was a harder adjustment than I thought it would be. But now, I love thinking up new recipes, sewing, playing with Madeline, and doing other things that I would never have time to do.
I honestly think that the world's egocentric mindset is ingrained in us more than we think. I am raising a child here, and that is so much more important than working some dumb 8-5 job that anyone could do. Anyway, I also think that being satisfied is something that you have to work on. you have to make yourself satisfied-- and work hard at becoming and maintaining that. I think that if you push yourself continually to develop your own talents also helps one to feel satisfied.
Anyway, what helps you guys to feel satisfied with your lives?

Rex E Lee Run
Yeah!! I am proud to say that I ran a 5K, the Rex E Lee run, last Saturday!! It was the first race I've run since having Madeline, and while I wasn't "competitive" I finished in the first half and I pushed myself and I have to say I am very proud of myself... no I am not sharing my score online.

One more laughing video clip
Since Adam lost the cord to download pics from the camera to the computer this past week in NY (at least he didn't lose the camera) I probably won't be posting pics for a little bit. But here's a fun laughing video of Madeline. It's right before we put her in the bathtub -- don't worry, it's rated G. It's a tad long, but hold out until the end because she has the cutest cameo!

Madeline is 6 months!

Madeline is a sheer joy right now. I don't know if it gets better than this! She always is happy, smiley and laughs a ton. She is so outgoing and fun! I can't imagine life without her. We are pretty much together all day, everyday and I totally love it! I am so blessed to have such a wonderful baby! And if these pictures don't melt your heart, you have no soul. lol. just kidding. But they are dang cute!!!
Better than James Bond
For those of you who know, I am a single parent this week. Adam is in New York, and he just barely missed the bomb that went off in Times Square. You can all erase the images of a chic James Bond rolling out of the way of a huge explosion going off in the background, dusting off his tuxedo... it wasn't that close... but he was in Times Square the night before it went off, still pretty cool right?
He said that he and his friend went to check out the damage the next morning, you know, to try and put the pieces together, Inspector Clouseau-style (cue Pink Panther theme song).
Well, anyway, I am sitting watching "Celebrity Apprentice" in our house while the hubby is at an AMAZING hotel in the Big Apple. Oh well, I could eat an apple right now ;)... Well, here's a shout out to him if he reads this blog: " I MISS YOU!!!"
I know this doesn't sound that romantic, but honestly I can't think of a better compliment, than to say that after 3 1/2 years of marriage, I am still not bored of Adam. Far from it. Every day he fills me with laughter, interesting thinigs to think about, and love. What more could a girl ask for? Anyway, I am going to be done with this post before it turns to mushy. I love you, Adam, you are my life.
